Together with our friends of SIFA organization we found a school in the earthquake-area, where we can apply our help with high momentum.

Soon the Jiuling primary school in Jiangyou will provide a school-education more than 1000 children again. Furthermore, it will be a home for 500 children by hosting them in a student dormitory. All of that thanks to a clear and marketable action-plan with which the school-management came up with.

The main building of the school survived the wave of the earthquakes comparably well. Helpers on the spot at present lend a hand to fix the damages. However, four connected smaller primary schools in the villages Suxi, Qutang, Qiyao and Wushi were destroyed irreperabel by the forces of nature. They now have to be torn off. Instead, the primary school in Jiangyou will be expanded.

The school-management presented a demand-list which features the education material and the furniture necessary to put the round about 100 teachers into a position in which they can start school-business again. Also 500 beds are found on the list. These are to be set up in the future student-dormitory.

Exactly here, the help of the GDCF takes effect. The revenues from our charity drives and the charity raffle are used for financing beds as well as other items of the demand-list. This way we help to open the school again as fast as possible.
